Application Checklist

All Manhattan College online graduate programs require students to hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university. Students are also expected to have had three years of professional work experience.

To complete your application, you must submit the following:

Application Fee

The application fee for each program is $75 and is nonrefundable. To pay your application fee, send a check or money order for $75 to:

Personal Essay

You will be required to write one personal essay. The questions are available in the online application.

Letters of Recommendation

  • Applicants to the M.S. in Organizational Leadership must submit two (2) letters of recommendation.

You can submit an additional letter if you feel that will better support your application.

Professional recommendations from individuals who know you in an occupational setting are recommended, preferably a current or former supervisor. References should be able to speak to your ability to succeed in a rigorous program and to your career goals.

Official Transcripts

  • Applicants to the M.S. in Organizational Leadership must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.

The minimum cumulative GPA is based on courses taken in achieving a bachelor’s degree. Other factors, such as work experience and GPA on most recently taken courses will be considered. Mail official, sealed transcripts from each academic institution you have attended, including community college coursework, to:

Many schools issue transcripts electronically, either through their own web services or through vendors. If this option is available through the institutions you attended, please specify that your transcript(s) be sent to admissions@online.manhattan.edu, as this will expedite the delivery of your transcript(s) and the completion of your application.

Resume or CV

In a current business resume, list any relevant professional experience, including title, dates and full-time or part-time status.

International Students

  • Manhattan College requires that international students whose native language is not English must submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
  • All international baccalaureate school transcripts that are submitted must be official and translated into English. For a course-by-course evaluation of credits, applicants can contact World Education Services, Bowling Green Station, P.O. Box 5087, New York, NY 10274, USA.

M.S. in Organizational Leadership Requirements

Manhattan College’s requirements for candidates to this program include:

  • Baccalaureate or post-baccalaureate degree
  • GPA of 2.75
  • Resume
  • Recommendations
    • Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation attesting to the applicant’s intellectual ability, leadership potential and ability to complete the program
  • Personal Statement
    • Applicants are required to submit an essay that reflects program interest as well as personal and professional goals
  • Work experience of at least three (3) years
