Collaborative Project Management (3 Credits)

This course goes beyond basic project management. Students will learn advanced PM technology tools and techniques for managing complex projects and programs. Cases and simulations will allow students to learn how these advanced skills are applied to produce business/organizational results that require collaborative relationships. This course builds toward the capstone course.

Course Outcomes: 
  • Define a project, project management, the five project management process groups and the 15 knowledge areas.
  • List the roles and responsibilities of a project manager.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the essential processes for planning, budgeting, scheduling, staffing, controlling, and documenting projects.
  • Recognize the different roles required in a successful project team and the five factors that make a project successful.
  • Evaluate project management scenarios to practice analyzing and applying project management principles.
